How to stop addictions?
I have been fighting really hard to get into a healthy ketogenic diet for months. I have a serious addiction to Coca-Cola and MSG. I’ve tried extended fasting, intermittent fasting, taking trace minerals and natural b vitamins, and increased my intake of coconut oil and they did help a little, but not completely. I have no idea why I keep craving them and going really crazy no matter what I do. I went on keto for like two weeks where I was only eating one greasy meal a day and I was horrible. And by that I mean mainly my mood was shit. My mental health was degrading and I was in a bad mood all the time, I just couldn’t function well. But after eating the junk food I love, I actually get my brain power back, I feel like I can do keto and IF fasting and I can do anything, but that mood lasts only until I crave junk food again. The first time I went keto I did a 3 day extended fast, by day 3 I woke up really refreshed. I never felt like my brain had as much energy as this butt at the same time I had my body low on energy and the cravings were still bad, even though I heard that if you go keto the cravings should go away. So my question is what nutrients should I take to stop the addiction? I heard that potassium is good for sweets and monosodium glutamate, but it is very difficult to meet daily needs from food.
