(29M, SW: 330, CW: 295, 5'11) Remember the nonstop victories.

I’ve been on Keto since roughly February and have been doing 5-a-week workouts at the gym for about a month. I just needed to post somewhere to stay focused and venting will help keep me less looking at the scale and more on the overall health benefits. I was really frustrated when I weighed 295 today, again, for the second week. I’ve been making more artificial sweeteners recently (why is there sucralose in every damn 0 carb product …?) And it irritated me having to go down to plain water. (Not that I care, but I like the variety. For the curious, I use Mios in my water and Milo’s 0 calorie tea. I swear it used to be sweetened with stevia but it’s sucralose). But when I started exercising I realized a couple of things: My mile time was better. My body was much less stressed and I thought about moving on. I added almost a full 10 pounds to my bench and incline training weights. I added 30 planks to my core circuit and about 20 additional crunches to get to the same level of exhaustion and core stiffness. It made me feel better seeing the sweat and the physical increase. However, I may still be depleting my supply of sucralose-related products and then turning my back on them; at least it gave me hope to be less stagnant and build more muscle instead of burning fat.
