Mother of 2 - wanting to change

Hello, My name is Catherine and I am a mother of 2 children under 2 years old. My weight has always been a problem. Because I am short under 5 feet, there is always that pressure to be an ideal weight. Before I had children, I was at my most ideal weight: 110 pounds. I did this by exercising and eating healthier but with less carbohydrates. I found that even exercising if my carb intake was high (even healthy carbs), I was always bloated and gaining weight. 2016 was the last year that I was in my best shape. Five years later, married with two children, it has been difficult to put myself first. After my first pregnancy, the goal was to exercise, eat healthy, and get back to work on myself. But God had a different plan, I got pregnant with my second baby not even 1 year after having my first baby. So we put everything on hold once more. After the second baby, the pandemic struck and it was even harder to find time to exercise or eat healthy or just do anything. Then the depression and anxiety happened and I ate my heart. After the end of 2020 I realized that I was not happy with how I feel about myself, how I look in the mirror or how I look in clothes. So in early 2021, I decided to eat healthier and eat less carbs and be a little more active. but still it was not enough. A couple of friends struck up a conversation about the Keto lifestyle. I was intrigued. At this point, nothing could hurt trying. So a friend challenged me for 30 days to try this. With many articles, the support of my husband (who is also doing this challenge with me) and friends who are knowledgeable about the Keto diet and lifestyle, I will start my first day tomorrow. I would like to use this post as an opportunity to hold myself accountable as I begin my journey to a better me.
