Made up excuses

Hey, I just have to vent this and I need some information. So I have a problem. I lost a huge amount on keto last year, just over 150 pounds. I felt amazing and everything was fine. However, in February I went on vacation for the first time in over 10 years and couldn’t resist the temptation and fell off the wagon. I gained almost 35 pounds which has stuck with me ever since. I am currently sitting at 286 pounds, tight pants, feeling bad overall. I went back to the keto diet a few weeks after the holidays and although I did well for several weeks (slow keto but carbs always max 20g), the weight was maintained and now I feel like getting in and out by ‘indulging’ eat something non-ketogenic every now and then. I followed up for a few weeks and rounded up his 1.5 meals once a week. (up to 75g carbs these days) I noticed I make excuses as to why I can eat it, like “a bretzl is only 25g carbs” or something like that, and the classic “I’ve had an X now, I might as well eat a piece of cake and start over tomorrow. ” I know they are wrong and yet I keep turning to them. Today’s times are a bit stressful with crown, work (paying the bills with a few dollars to spare, albeit stressful and not well paid) but still. I even feel bad eating carbs, far from the same level of satisfaction I get from the keto diet, but I still struggle.
