No pictures, but a success story: I’m a tall guy (6’4 “) and I’ve always been a bit heavy. In my freshman year of high school I weighed 219, I know because I was on the basketball team and they made me wear one of those plastic wrestler t-shirts at weight loss workouts (since it was mostly water weight, of course, I got it back when I stopped doing it.) When I got married at the age of 23, I weighed 223. pretty good (Not overweight, but not skinny to be sure.) My downfall? I love sweets. I love sugar and you know as well as I do that it’s easy to eat a ton of sugar if you don’t keep an eye on it. And I didn’t! Over the years I slowly gained weight. I hit the wall when I was on a regular doctor visit and my weight went up to 284 on his scale. That totally upset me and I decided to do something about it before I hit 300 lbs. I started looking for a weight loss regimen. Fortunately I found this sub and eat I went on a Keto trip then … and I was a huge success! Through education and commitment to the ketogenic diet, I have had a weight loss journey, culminating in a scale reading of 199.5 today. It’s an amazing number that I thought I would never see. But I am there. And that leaves me speechless. Now I guess I need to switch to maintenance mode because I don’t need to lose any more weight (strange to say that). Thank you all for the encouragement and education you provide. This is an amazing subreddit. PS: I entered high school in 1971 … I got married in 1980 … so this is the least I have weighed in almost FIFTY YEARS!
