I did keto for about 30 days and then I transitioned. Now my usual CICO method doesn't work.
I did keto during January of this year and transitioned throughout the month of February. I lost 10 pounds during the keto month, and although I lost no more during the transition, I managed to keep the weight off. I spent post-keto time trying a few different methods to maintain weight loss without the usual diet exhaustion … But nothing has worked. It has been a different system every month. I’ve tried IF, CICO (which is what I’ve done in the past), a mix of both; I’ve been on more diet, more training, and ** nothing has worked. ** I have lost exactly zero pounds since I made the keto transition. That’s while you’re at a 1,300 calorie limit plus regular exercise throughout the week. I’m stuck. I have been coming and going between 172-176 pounds for several months, regardless of my methods. I have been dieting for most of high school and publishing; As my daily routines change, so does my weight loss / gain, so I regularly diet to stay on track. But CICO is like my trusty old man and I’ve never reached a plateau like this before. I’m considering starting keto again just to see if it will work like it did before … But if it does, then what? Not sustainable I don’t know what to do if regular diets don’t work anymore. Has anyone else experienced this?
