Get Into Swimwear and Bikini Shape Before Summer
For many women, trying on swimwear is one of the most terrifying things that you can do. After the winter when you get to cover everything up and eat comfort food for months you can get quite a shock when you come face to face with your thighs in fluorescent lighting. You can avoid this though if you start getting prepared for summer before the mercury starts rising.
The key factor between emerging from the changing room in a string bikini in tears or emerging triumphant is a little thing we like to call exercise. You may not like it too much, but it will make you feel good as well as look good if you get into shape.
You should ideally do something active every day. If you absolutely cannot, then you should at least try for 3 or 4 times a week. Half of the week you should plan to do active things that you like. Put some thought into it and invite others to do it with you to make it more fun. It could be basketball, roller blading or whatever else you actually enjoy doing.
When you are not doing your favorite exercises and sports, then you need to get your cardio fitness up and also do some toning and muscle workouts. To improve your aerobic fitness you can do any activity that gets you huffing and puffing for at least 30 minutes. It could be jogging, power walking, dancing, aerobics, swimming or jump rope.
In addition to your aerobic work out, you will need to do some toning exercises to strengthen the muscles and give them that lean and attractive look that looks great in swimwear. Lunges, squats and plies will be your best friend to tone up the thighs and butt, which is the danger area for most women. If you hold weight on your stomach area, then you will need to include abdominal exercises as well to get it in string bikini shape.
You can find loads of different squats and lunges to do. They will work on toning your thighs, butt and hips. To keep it interesting try to vary your toning exercises and look on the Internet to find a variety of styles to do. Try to increase the amount you can do as you progress towards your summer goal.
If you want to look awesome in your string bikini, then you will also need to watch your diet and drink plenty of water. Doing a detox before summer might also be helpful to help get rid of toxins that build up and cause cellulite or bloating. Watching what you eat and including loads of fresh foods is important, but you can allow yourself to enjoy treats every now and again.
