The biggest food mistakes

Reading another post made me think about this, but what are some of the biggest accidental mistakes you made when estimating carbohydrate content? For me, it was when I was traveling for work and we went to a counter-style restaurant for lunch that didn’t have many keto-friendly options. They gave me a little Caesar salad, but wanting a little more they also gave me broccoli cheese soup. I was like “broccoli … check, cheese … check. How bad can it be?” The place was a local chain, so I checked their website later and was surprised to discover that the soup had 18 g of carbohydrates. I should have realized that a soup like that has a ton of flour as a thickening agent.
